The site does not use advertising trackers, fingerprinting, user accounts or behavioural profiles. Cloudflare may process technical request data required to deliver and protect the site.
Privacy-friendly analytics
Qazaq Lens uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate page-performance and visit statistics. Cloudflare states that this beacon does not use cookies, local storage or fingerprinting to identify individual readers. Qazaq Lens does not use the data to create advertising profiles. The public beacon token identifies this website's analytics stream; it is not an account password or moderation credential.
Comments and correction reports
Comments may store a name, optional email, page slug, comment text, timestamp and moderation status. Email is not published. Correction reports may store the page URL, issue, reasoning, supporting source, optional suggested wording, optional name and optional email. Pending comments and reports are visible only to the project moderator. Do not submit sensitive personal information.
When you explicitly suggest an unmatched claim, Qazaq Lens stores the submitted wording, optional context, submission time, moderation status and an irreversible hash used to group duplicates. It never assigns that submission an automatic verdict.
Suggested myths and selected-text context use a mail draft addressed to nazkari86@gmail.com; Gmail may process that message separately from Cloudflare. Sending it is your choice.
To limit automated abuse, submission requests use an HMAC-SHA-256 derivative of the network IP for a short-lived hourly rate-limit bucket. Raw IP addresses are not stored, and rate-limit buckets older than 48 hours are deleted automatically.
For the public impact dashboard, Qazaq Lens stores daily aggregate counts from a fixed allowlist of actions and an optional article slug. It does not store raw IP addresses, full referrers, user agents or unique-user profiles, and it does not call these actions “people”.
Local preferences and Ask
Your theme choice and offline cache are stored on your own device. They are not sent to Qazaq Lens. Ask matching runs in the browser. The bookmarklet passes selected text in a URL fragment, which browsers do not include in the request; Ask removes that fragment from the address bar before matching.
Retention and deletion
Comments and correction reports are retained only as long as needed for moderation, editorial review and the public correction history. Public histories omit private contact details. To request deletion of a comment, report or email address, contact the editor with the page and approximate submission date.
Minors and sensitive information
This site is not designed to collect information from children. Do not submit identifying, health, political-safety or other sensitive personal information through comments, corrections or email drafts.
