“Kazakhstan runs on oil and nothing else”
Misleading. Hydrocarbons are Kazakhstan's largest export sector and a major state-revenue source, but the economy also includes substantial mining, agriculture, manufacturing, banking, telecommunications and transport sectors. The World Bank classifies Kazakhstan as an upper-middle income country.
